Amazon's cloud unit introduced Kiro, an AI-assisted coding program, aiming to transform software development. This comes shortly after Google announced hiring staff from AI coding startup Windsurf under a $2.4 billion deal and plans to enhance its Gemini AI for developers. Both Amazon and Google are advancing "vibe coding," while Microsoft updated Visual Studio Code for automated development. Kiro helps manage complexity in vibe coding by defining requirements and tasks before coding, and can create flow diagrams and task lists. Currently, Kiro supports only English, with more languages to come.
